Stylish. Friendly. Creative.
New York Native, Sadia Seymour, was bitten by the fashion bug at an early age. Inspired by her mother’s talent, she witnessed and quickly developed a skill for sewing. With Barbie as her muse, Sadia first brought her style to life at eight years old, with a dress she made for herself for picture day!
Sadia’s passion for all things fashion grew with every episode of “I Love Lucy” and “Style with Elsa Klench”, latest fashion magazines, movies, museums and, of course, music. In short, it was life in fashion’s flagship, New York City, which fueled her career ambitions.
Sadia is a graduate of the highly regarded Fashion Institute of Technology (NYC), holding AAS and BFA degrees in Fashion Design. After seven years on the retail manufacturing side of fashion, Sadia transitioned to fashion styling in 1998.
Sadia works in commercial print and television advertising, editorial, catalog and independent film, for clients including: Lincoln, Orangina, Playtex, The Knot, People and Essence, to name a few.
With career experience, industry insight and a natural gift for creative instruction, Sadia returned to her alma mater, FIT, as a leading instructor in the Center for Professional Studies and Pre College departments. She teaches the Fashion Styling Certificate and Saturday Live programs respectively.
